Hi Everyone,
This week was the first week to really started to dive into what we will be learning this year, and the kids did an amazing Job! I hope they came home and discussed Nouns and our crazy Gummy Bear Experiment. All sight word documents will be updated by Monday on my website. So feel free to print them off for additional practice. Next week we will start DRA testing and we will also do Math and Reading MAP assessments. We will discuss the results of these assessments at the Parent Conference. I know that some of you might be eager to get the information but honestly, I most likely won't have them all complete until the day before they are due. I also am participating in a writing workshop this year that the district provides in order to bring fun and interesting way to engage young learners in the writing process so I'll be out 1 day each month in order to bring back the learning and apply it in class. Thanks so much to the parents that have donated items to the class, we really appreciate all you have done. Also, I'm not sure who donated the tabletop dry erase board for small group instruction and student word work. It didn't have a receipt or any way to identify the buyer when it was shipped to campus. We as teachers appreciate all the help you as parents give us, if you would like to help our classroom please feel free to take a look at our Amazon Class Wish List. These are things we need to help facilitate the learning and environment in our room. The link is below. Hi Parents!!!
We have finished our 2nd week of school, and the kids have done a great job doing their best work, getting to know each other, following expectations, and making new friends. The kids have really impressed me with their willingness to work hard and include so many of our new students. It just makes me so excited for this year. -This week's work went home yesterday. Most days I will send work home on Thursdays but please be sure to check your child's Bee Book every day. Also, the Bee Book is one of our ways to communicate so please be sure to send it back to school with them every day. -Please remember that each student needs a pair of Ipad compatible headphones (please no Bluetooth). -We as teachers appreciate all the help you as parents give us, if you would like to help our classroom please feel free to take a look at our Amazon Class Wish List.
